I hate that cat pay ended for covid when they still stop us from working (self.starbucksbaristas)

My coworker whom I love working with dearly got the vid and now we are all out for 10 days then our sm told us no one will be paid for it and we aren’t allowed to work at other stores even with a negative test. I’m pretty annoyed bc this job pays my rent and the holidays are coming up.

Hey ASM in training here - you should get 2 rounds of cat pay for isolations and after that it's case by case. I just had to isolate a few weeks ago and we have had several partner isolations that my trainer and I have submitted cat pay for.

Actually, I'm pretty sure you get cat pay no matter what of you were exposed in-store. The two rounds is for exposure outside of work and/or symptoms.

Yes! Direct them to the SM Partner Care - COVID-19 - Decision Logic resource on the Hub. Can be found on the COVID-19 resources page. Also, note that it does say partners must have disclosed their vaccine status to be eligible for self-isolating pay. Additionally, they cannot stop you from using sick time if for some reason they won't grant you cat pay. Reach out to your DM if necessary!

SM here. Have you disclosed your vaccination status? If so, because you were exposed at work, you should be paid for it. Whether you have to isolate or not depends on your status though.

Is there a certain link I can send my SM that shows we are qualify to get paid. She said if she can find the information she will do her best to make sure we are paid.

Oh shit. Have you called ethics and compliance? Email the RM? If you or someone you trust hasn't contacted someone, do it even if someone else says they have.

I showed her our card but she never submitted our information and I’ve been vaccinated since March so now bc we haven’t signed the paperwork bc of her negligence I guess we can’t get paid?

You can disclose at any time - she should be able to fill out the form for you today. Just FT her and show her your card that way, or you can also send her a picture of it.

Hey OP I was also under the impression that if you got the vaccine you could still work despite an exposure as long as you don't present symptoms? Definitely follow the previous posts advice and look up the covid 19 protocol and reach out to your DM if nothing gets done to help you and your partners.

Hi! Your SM should be able to process a vaccine disclosure for you, and since you haven't isolated previously you will qualify for catastrophe pay. If they say you don't qualify, you should reach out to your DM and talk about it with them.

I would call your DM one on one about it. They should not need to ask for an exception since you haven't been previously paid for an isolation.

It's just a piece of paper you fill out in store and you need to show your SM your vaccination card along with it if you are vaccinated.

All this was communicated in the weekly update. If you don’t disclose your vac status you won’t get CAT pay if you have to self isolate. Does any one even read that. I seriously feel like I’m the only one who does. 🙄

I don’t think you are understanding I did disclose the information however my managers negotiates didn’t complete any information for it. So it’s not just about flexing and reading the weekly update. Without good leadership I as a partner can’t complete forms. I was under the impression that even thing was handed until this event.
