Advice on a situation. (self.starbucksbaristas)

Outside of work, and to another Starbucks (in my district), I went to go get coffee.
The line was long, understandably so as it was explained that they only have one bar at the window.
Anyways, I was in line and when I was the next car before the box I didn’t pull up because I knew I would NOT reach the speaker. The car behind me beeps at me and starts cussing. I beep back in frustration because I felt so worked about it, probably not the best idea. We exchanged some words and I let it slip that I work for the company. And it continued on at the window…
I feel conflicted bc now thinking back it probably wasn’t the best idea, but I was very upset with how I was treated. I feel like we are always abused at work and now it’s happening OUTSIDE OF WORK.
What should I do if it is brought up to me by a manger?

Unfortunately , that sounds like one of many insane interactions we will have with these spoiled customers. I really dislike saying this because I too love starbucks, even on my days off. But the difference between me and our crazy customers is if my drink tastes odd, I feel a little disappointed and drink it anyway. Other people choose to make a scene to justify their remake requests, which is completely unnecessary. All starbucks partners will do almost anything to make you happy if you’re just respectful to us & are considerate of our workloads during peak, while shortstaffed. Honestly I’d just tell my Manager I felt victimized on my day off, and regrettably mentioned you work for starbucks. Honesty is the best policy if you did nothing wrong. People mismanage their time and like to blame others for being late for work.

Don’t say anything to anybody. They guy was a jerk and may not want to tell anyone about it.
