How to call off? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’ve been with the company for 4 months. I feel sick. To call off, do I text the manager or actually call the store?

EDIT: manager asked me to find coverage. I tried and failed. Will not be showing up.

Call the store and tell the manager you are calling out

If you're feeling sick then notify your SM. It is their responsibility to find coverage for you if you're sick. If it's just a regular call out then you need to find coverage yourself.

Call the person you're opening with (if you have their number) or the SM (if you don't) as soon as possible -- right when you wake up if you have to.

I got a call at 4am from the other opening shift at my store saying "hey, I'm sick, can you open today?" but it was my day off so I said nope call the SM and went back to bed lol.

Call your store. If you call and no one answers, then it's ok to call your store manager on their personal number.
