Ya ever have someone stand there at mobile pickup, making you think they’re just waiting on a mobile like anyone else, and then after five minutes during a very clearly busy period they bitch about how no one checked on them since they were actually waiting to ask about their empty cup? We ran out of cold brew and I guess no one marked it out on mobile because this guy’s order still went through. So the person on mobile bar set out an empty cup with his sticker as you do. I was on drive thru bar running back and forth and there was no one on mobile bar when I ran over to grab a straw and this guy standing at pickup whose been standing there for five minutes or so finally actually verbalizes his concern and tells me his cup is empty and he’s been standing there waiting to be helped for five minutes. I immediately make the drink for him with iced coffee once he says that’s okay and once I give it to him, he goes “you really should acknowledge people just standing there” with this snarky little nod. I calmly apologize and explain that we thought he was just waiting on an order and he said he was holding a cup. Told him I couldn’t see it or I would’ve helped him and he just rolled his eyes, scoffed and left.

You gotta be looking for something to be mad about to stand there for FIVE minutes in silence watching people work within three feet of you and not say a word, daring them to approach you first.

Someone did this at my store but standing in front of the coffee machines, so we couldn't even see him. He stood there about 15 minutes *watching* people go up to the till and be served. He didn't say a word to us, some other customer asked if he was in the queue and he went (loudly) "no, I've been waiting to be served for 15 minutes!!!" at which point someone pointed him to the till. He complained the whole time, I'm like mate, this is on you
