Your store may be different but generally, christmas is the only one where the tips are split between only those working because there may be some massive tips and those staying at home don’t really deserve them tbf.

day-of holiday tips are only for christmas- sorry, pal.

our tips for thanksgiving, christmas, and new year were only split between those who put in hours on those days.

My store does this too. Most stores only do Christmas Day.

It varies from store to store. There’s no standard or set rule.

Starbucks communications last year strongly worded recommendations not to split tips like this at all. My store made sure the whole team was cool with it and still did it for Christmas though because we all felt it was fair. It could vary from store to store. Asking your SM is the only way to know for you

Imo-It should always be split if you’re tip pooling. Period. That’s what tip pooling is. Some people at my store are throwing a fit over it. Personally, I’m going to be real annoyed if it’s not a proper tip pool from thanksgiving day. I didn’t ask not to work. I wasn’t scheduled.

Yikes. My liscnsed store splits tips up *every* day, Thanksgiving included. If you didn't work that day you don't get tips for that day.

Christmas is the only holiday that’s volunteer-only (at least in my area) so those who choose to work on Christmas get the tips for that day. The rest of the holidays can be scheduled to availability so the tips get factored in with the rest of the week

at my store christmas is the only holiday where we have the people working that day split the tips amongst themselves.
