So I work at the busiest Starbucks in my county and it’s very stressful. I am taking 7 classes at my community college this upcoming January and am worried that I will be to overwhelmed. Do you guys think it’s in the best of my interest to transfer to a slower Starbucks?

Transfer. Period. No reason to grind yourself out for a company that wouldn’t care for you when you get burnt out. Understand that you have to right to say without explaining yourself either when it comes to covering shifts. You come first.

Yes. Seriously. Take care of your health above all else

Wow your college lets you take 7 classes at once? That would be like a years worth of classes at my college. If your sm won’t let you cut your hours, you should ask to transfer to a store that gives you the hours you want.

Or cut your hours down to something is manageable for everything. Your manager should have it in their best interests to help you mine always has.

I was thinking that but I’ve heard some horror stories that my sm makes comments like “maybe Starbucks isn’t meant for you anymore”

Then your manager shouldnt be manager if they arent willing to help you grow as a person and as a partner
