I had to make a super hard choice and step down to barista trainer so I can focus on school and my mental health. How’s the adjustment?

Barista trainer is not really an official position, its just a title you get. You are just a barista now. And baristas have less responsibilities so it should be easier to manage work and school!

Wouldn’t be surprised if she starts training more than a average barista trainer with her shift experience

Pay usually isn't much less either so enjoy it. Focus on you. Starbucks will survive either way.
