If you put an end date on your schedule and it passes that time does your availability open up completely or does it carry over? No on at my store really knows and I've asked my manager but he hasn't really answered lol. I keep getting scheduled for the only 2 days I don't work if I forget to go in and extend it. Like I legit got scheduled on a Thursday(a day I can't get to work) during school (minor) and I now I have to find coverage for it myself. Not only that but I was scheduled 24 hours that week when I usually only work 16 cus I'm part time college and need the extra time for school work....
It's really hard for me to find coverage when stuff like this happens because I can't really swap shifts with people since the days I can work I do. This is like the second time it's happened now and I feel bad making my parents cut corners on days they're working to get me to work while they also have to take care of my siblings ya know. It's like if I'm a week late it all goes to shit and my manager never answers texts or phone calls anyway so its really hard to communicate 😮💨.

If you put an end date, iirc it should default back to the previous availability. I would just submit a new avail with no end date. That way you don't have to remember whenever it ends. Then say in 3 months when your classes change, just submit a new avail request and it will end your current one.

Yeah i did do one with no end date :) my previous availability was the same as the new one so idk. My manager had told me my "availability doesn't take affect that week" and I was like 🤨. Hopefully doesn't happen again now :)
