i need money desperately but i also need my car fixed (which i can only take to the shop on the 4th). i hate calling off work and nobody will take my shift
i feel like i’m being dramatic but i want to work and get my car fixed the same day..but it isn’t possible to both 😭

handle your business bb!! starbucks does not care lol the lyft benefit is basically for openers or stores that close super late. it only covers your ride if you're in a certain distance and if it's before 6am or after 6pm. been looking into it myself. it's almost no help at all 🙃 not surprised tho!! i wish you luck!!

I read on this sub that the siren has a Lyft perk of some kind? Look into that.

Starbucks will pay for your rides to work. I can’t remember if it’s through Uber or Lyft but you can talk to you manager about it.

Yes and we can do a paid out to reimburse you same day

if you have any sick time you can call off and use that so you can still get paid.

Former SSV here. I will start off by saying I LOVED working for starbucks. Seeing posts like this really make me sad. I eventually had enough and left. The final straw was them making an outside hire for an ASM position they were "grooming" me for. This plus being made horrible for calling out, the customers and certainly the pay all weighed on me far too much. I wasn't happy anymore and dreaded going to work every day. I loved the people I worked with but that was the only thing I enjoyed about the job at the end.
It's not just a Starbucks problem it's a retail problem. It's like this everywhere. After working in retail for over 15 years and Starbucks 6 of those I left retail behind. I have a job that pays over two times what I was making and none of the stresses I dealt with.
I guess my point is there is life after Starbucks. I used my experience as a supervisor there and took that with me to a production supervisor position for a medical component company.
I often consider getting a part time job with Starbucks just for the experience of being there again. I don't regret my time there and think back on it fondly for the most part. I got to a point where I needed to improve my life and did. It wasn't easy and for the longest time kind of regretted leaving because the grass wasn't immediately greener.
My final point making a big change like a job isn't easy but sometimes it's necessary. You shouldn't be made to feel bad for not going in to work. Again I absolutely loved being a partner, but it was just time for a change
