i have bronchitis and called out and my SM didn’t do the covid coach with me (self.starbucksbaristas)

You wouldn’t pass the coach, fever alone even with the diagnosis. While you’re being transparent with communication and your sm isn’t, they know you wouldn’t pass which is why they didn’t conduct it

yeah.. i know i’m an SSV and its harder to get our shifts covered compared to baristas but ultimately its unfair to those who are in similar situations and are sent on a 10 day isolation… and im worried that i could potentially get in trouble coming back if another supervisor or barista calls it out. he is anticipating me to return tomorrow /:

I would just ask if you need to go on isolation. I believe that because you came up negative you don’t need to be on isolation. If you’re already being treated Houma pass the coach I’d have to look when I go in later. If you’re physically not feeling up to it, as hard as it is, you can’t feel bad. It’s not your responsibility to cover shifts when you’re sick. You need rest so you’re actually helpful to your team. If you’re that out of it you’re not going to be doing your job well and prolonging the recovery

My dm said the Covid coach is for unknown symptoms. So if you know that it’s bronchitis and not Covid, you would need to call out while sick, but not isolate for 10 days.

I left Starbucks during the pandemic and my experience was SMs and above didn’t actually want to follow covid policies and did not in several instances. So. This does not surprise me.

Can’t you get a doctors note? This why it covers you even if the SM won’t.

thats not really my concern. i HAVE a dr’s note but just bc i didnt wanna seem as if i was trying to extend my vacation lolll. the concern is my sm wouldnt answer my texts regarding my health to the point i had to do it via phone call and then he goes against procedure and doesn’t do the coach with me.. yanno? the coach must be done if you’re experiencing ANY symptoms. just seems fishy.

Hmmm. Yeah it is kinda weird. It shoulda been done . You can do it from home and screen shot it them.
