Starbucks Baristas: The daily grind

I'm so tired of people sitting there watching me make a drink a certain way, then waiting till I give it to them to tell me I did it wrong. (self.starbucksbaristas)

Twice today I've had to scrap entire finished fraps because the customers didn't let me know till I handed it to them that they wanted creme not coffee base. How hard is it to speak up and let me know I'm making it wrong while I'm doing it? Or order it the way you want it the first time around? It would save the both of us time in the long run.

(I’m not sure how busy it was) usually I prefer that they tell register (when ordering), not me on bar. During peak it gets super annoying to hear “NONONO TOO MUCH MILK!” “stop STOP I asked FOR NO WHIP” “I oRdErEd A gRaNde” before I even hand the drink off (99/100 times it’s not their drink)

Just do a power move: ignore them and watch them turn red in embarrassment and you finish the drink and yell out a different name

Is it common that people complain about specifications they didn't mention when ordering the drink? We would just ignore people yelling over the window unless you were a regular.

Complaining about something you did not want after we are handing you the drink? Okay go ahead and get to the back of the line and re-order or take what you ASKED for. My GM did not take BS and we were the fastest location in our region along with highest sales for a reason.
