use the training modules as a guide, but i always introduce my trainees to far more drinks than the modules include, because the training is really limited. i also make a point of looking over recipe resources together (like on the ordering screen which shows recipe breakdowns) while we are doing bar training so that they know where to look if they have questions and so that the breakdown of our recipes start to make sense to them. make a point of the way drinks are broken down and why. i write them a bar cheat sheet, and i also write them a ‘to-do list’ for customer support (our store is super busy and the standard cycle just doesn’t cut it) that they can refer to when they are on the floor by themselves. anyways, i also encourage you to be very very personable with your trainees so they feel comfortable at your store, and they feel like they have someone they can talk to/ask questions. good luck! i’m sure you will be an amazing trainer.
