I am a new employee (3 weeks in) at an insanely busy drive thru location. I had 10 minutes of bar training, 15 minutes of cs training, and zero dto training because I have experience from another drive thru coffee shop. I literally learned how to make every drink from quizlet, so thank you to all of the baristas out there that took the time to make them!!

I got hired as a ssv but they train you as a barista first to get you familiar with everything

it’s supposed to be that way, yeah, but i imagine with the staffing issues lately they’re probably doing this to curtail it.
plus i cannot think of anyone who would willingly be a ssv if they’ve already been a starbucks barista, lol.

I believe they are doing a lot of external hiring for the SSV position. That's what happened with me, got hired on right away as SSV back in August.
