This was a problem at my store too. One of the shifts was manipulative, and during Pride, didn’t want to listen to input from partners WHO ARE ACTUALLY LGBT, but just put some minimalist bs. Also, got onto me for not being able to show up to work due to not having a car, and living 25 miles away, but everyone else gets nothing said to them, when they can walk if need be. I hate college students because of this

I honestly feel you in this. I work mornings and they’re all wonderful people, super chill and easy to get along with.
However, we have a new hire who’s just rude. She’s barely a month in and acts as if she knows what she’s doing and doesn’t take constructive criticism well.
I also hate having to work with a closing shift lead who’s just a B, no other way to put it. Always negative energy and attitude, but I bet you if someone, and I mean me, sends a little message to the SM about her giving free drinks and talking on her phone during her shifts, her attitude would change.
I honestly would just go to your SM and see if you can work things out, or at least let them know. If possibly ask if you could be scheduled less hours with them or opposite schedules.

Not completely defending the new hires bc idk what goes on in your store but it could be they way that you are vocalizing that “constructive criticism”. One of my SSV had been completely rude since I started and all she does is yell, when ever I make a mistake she acts all dramatic as if it’s the end of the world so now I’m about 2 months in and get annoyed whenever she says something to me.

They’re just a complete mess. Rude and inconsiderate. Her 4th day working here, she was on Window, talking over the headset while I was taking orders on DTO. She’s done this with me and others as well, but will rudely call your name over and over again until you answer while you’re in the middle of taking orders, or keep trying to your attention.
An example of her not taking criticism well is her response. She’ll just say “yup” “okay, got,” etc. As if she’s annoyed and doesn’t want to listen. I was on hot bar and a shift told her to stay in cold bar, but she kept going onto hot bar. Shift told her to stay in her role unless it’s downtime or we need to move people around, same rude response was given. It’s simple things like this, where it shouldn’t warrant a coaching.
