I had an ancient regular named Lou. He was seriously 90 years old and would come in until his license was taken away. I used to sit with him in the cafe during my breaks and he told me about his old life in New York City. When we would get t-shirts from corporate we used to sneak him one & he’d wear them over a button down shirt tucked into his dress pants. Seriously the nicest guy & I still remember his order years later.

i have a few!! One guy i helped him move some big furniture on my day off, and in January i’ve got 5 friends who are gonna help him with me to move into his new house. (he’s retired) some baristas are too crabby to care, but i like being connected with my community!

Our store is maybe like 50% or more regulars. I'm actually not a very social person, but I do genuinely love our regulars. They are a big part of why I feel this is one of my best jobs I've ever had.
