“If you don’t have the recipe, I can’t make the drink and you’re going to be charged appropriately.” It usually stops them in their tracks because the drinks cost an arm and a leg with the modifications.

This, and the supply chain crisis is preventing certain ingredients from being shipped to stores anyway, so i’m glad I don’t see much of these drinks nowadays

Same. I work at a licensed store now but I had a girl come and ask for raspberry syrup in her vanilla bean Frappuccino which isn’t that bad. Still satisfying saying we didn’t have it though.

In the UK we have raspberry and hazelnut and recently had a cherry frap (on the official menu). Just because it’s not your region doesn’t mean stores don’t have it - we have to put up with people asking for American only drinks all the time haha

Don't you take pleasure in grinning while telling people that they can't have cake pops though? Also the cherry & scream frap was so vile. I have nightmares about the white chocolate finger - tasted like ass

No duh I’m aware that different regions sell different things but when a video goes viral and isn’t label to be supplied in the region which it’s film customers don’t realize that..

I use the same line on all of them--"Unfortunately, there is no secret menu, but if you have the recipe, we'll be happy to make that for you." Because especially if it's slow, I personally don't mind making some of the more heavily customized drinks. It keeps things interesting. I'd rather make some bastardized caramel raspberry mocha ridiculousness than another god damned iced caramel macchiato or vanilla bean frap. And trying to convince them to order a simpler drink is normally more of a pain in the ass than it's worth.
