Had a customer call up and threaten me with violence over the phone because of a mask incident early in the pandemic (you can guess the details). DM then went around trying to get my coworkers to say that the incident was my fault, none of them would and all just described exactly what happened and let me know about it. This DM had tried to get me fired before, but my manager wasn't going to have any of it. Well districts get switched around and we have a new DM. Fast forward a year and I've finally given my notice and am working my last shift before moving on. An old manager of mine randomly stops by the store that day and in our chatting let's me know that that DM has been separated from the company. As if I didn't already have a big enough smile on my face that day already. Just the absolute best day of work.

i’ve called the police on so many gun, bomb, powder, and general physical and sexual violence threats/acts that i legitimately couldn’t even give you a number.
we do not get paid enough, friend. i’m sorry that you had a day today.

Back when our lobby was open or we had outside seating, i'd ask you what number that was for the day. (Usually 2 a day, I think? At least, for the "crazy"/not-all-here ones. For the ones that were all there..... Maybe once a day? Once every few days?) We still get them though.
But just make sure to fill out an incident report/DRF(?) and maybe after 2,000 of them sbux might mark your store as high incidence but ultimately do nothing until covid lets you finally keep the doors close for a time. Yet more reason i don't believe the company when they say they care....
