Fired yes, arrested no. Years and years ago had a shift who was a heroin addict who had been stealing money for a while (tips kept going missing, etc). She was under investigation for stealing and went to the bank to drop off the deposit that day (to give you a time frame of when this happened, it was back when we used to do the deposit daily and then bring it to the bank) and then claimed she got robbed while she was in the bank parking lot. I don't believe criminal charges were fired and I think she just skipped town and disappeared in to the wind or something. There used to be more opportunities to steal cash, but how cash handling has changed makes it harder and I haven't heard of any incidents in my area in a while, so I don't know if Starbucks has started pressing charges or not. For non cash things, you can definitely get fired, but probably not arrested.

Not me, and also don’t know if I have info that helps you but I have friends that worked at a target Starbucks in our city and the whole entire staff got fired for “theft”, they were trying to get the neighboring Starbucks to come help but it ended up just shutting down for several months. They have a new team now trained.
