Technically the first unionized starbucks in in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and they unionized in August 2020.

Not trying to take away from the story. General facts: Franchise Starbucks at airports have had union associates for years.

Not a corpo starbucks union though. I'd imagine a general service union, or perhaps part of the airport of itself?

Yup came to say the same, those are franchises and only contain licenses to sell starbucks products. They are typically owned and staffed by employees of the main store they are held in or properties such as in malls or airports. They are technically airport staff.
