In your experience, does it tend to get too cliquey and lead to drama or is it a one big happy family type thing?

Depends on your maturity level at the store and the strength of leadership.

My store splintered from a huge family into a bunch of smaller clique-y groups thanks to covid and a supervisor demanding everyone keep his secret relationship with a barista a secret until they figured it out... For 6 months.

But it was 4 years of really strong friendships there.

Depends. I've gone out to drinks with coworkers and that was just good vibes. I went to someone's birthday party and that felt clique-y a bit because not everyone was invited, but to be fair, it was her birthday so lol. I think it just depends on what you're going to be doing tbh

I was smoking weed with one of my coworkers and I brought up family stuff and he started to cry and it was so awkward then he talked about what type of male he was. Later that week he came in for a hug and me thinking it was gonna be a side hug, it was not a full head on the shoulder hug.
