1. We don’t have larger hot cups
2. There will always be a desire for a larger cup than the largest size we offer

“We offer Iced Trenta cups to accommodate customer requests for refreshing beverages like iced tea and iced coffee in a larger size. At the same time, we strive to be a responsible company with regard to health and wellness of our customers, which is why we don’t offer our more indulgent beverages in this size.”

but they will let us give someone 15 shots 😭
pcp2md 13 points 1y ago
Or 30pump of caramel sauce
throwawayrandomqs 11 points 1y ago
Starbucks calling me out for my coffee consumption habits is somehow funny.
pcp2md 9 points 1y ago
I think they just want to avoid potential lawsuit
Prudent_Preparation1 2 points 1y ago
people come to starbucks for a 10 shot cold brew , they should make more limits lol
[deleted] [OP] 14 points 1y ago
It wouldn’t fit under an espresso machine to pull the shots into, also the max steaming line on the milk pitcher will only fit into a venti
Watuhhell 7 points 1y ago
Because it would be cold by the time you drink it all?
throwawayrandomqs -13 points 1y ago
Who doesn’t finish the coffee in like 10 minutes?
DasTeufelkind86 6 points 1y ago
My husband can nurse an iced venti for HOURS
throwawayrandomqs 1 points 1y ago
Wouldn’t it get watery though?
DasTeufelkind86 1 points 1y ago
Light ice, less water. But yeah
Overall-Diver-6845 1 points 1y ago
I don’t. But I also like it extra hot.
Watuhhell 1 points 1y ago
I can easily if it’s a tall or a grande lol
heartsblade 6 points 1y ago
you could just buy a really big tervis and pour it in there yourself to avoid the splashing
FfierceLaw 1 points 1y ago
Love my Tervis tumblers, I make iced pour overs in them at home!
throwawayrandomqs -4 points 1y ago
I could, but I really only get Starbucks when I’m in a hurry or when I’ve forgot my own coffee at home
heartsblade 1 points 1y ago
oh when you say splashing do you mean in your car or when you drink it? has your starbucks been out of green stoppers? those are also called splash sticks and they exist to prevent the splashing in your car if that’s what you’re talking about

if they do have them and they don’t give you one you can always ask
throwawayrandomqs 4 points 1y ago
Oh, for context I’m a grad student in a wheelchair, scuttling to class with coffee is a necessity, but also a scald hazard
heartsblade 3 points 1y ago
i think a stopper would still be helpful for you as you go from place to place. they are meant to prevent splashing while you aren’t actively drinking, and when you are drinking it, you could wrap it in a napkin to keep it clean
sailingsky 2 points 1y ago
Ask for just a 1/4 an inch and a green stopper. Our brewed coffee will leak out of a cup if it’s filled to the brim. (According to my shift it’s standard to do 1/4 inch to prevent this but I don’t really see anyone do it tbh.)
Voxxyvoo 5 points 1y ago
because i totally want to burn myself with a soup-bowl worth of coffee
haydensidun 3 points 1y ago
Because we don’t have trenta hot cups

Don’t ask me why, I just work here
zydr8te 2 points 1y ago
Plastic cups
Chemical-Less 1 points 1y ago
I would hate to serve trenta hot drinks lol. If you wanna avoid the splash you can ask for a stopper or perhaps a sticker if they dont have stoppers
EliMinivan 1 points 1y ago
Trenta is only really available for iced tea and a few more generally lower calorie drinks. You can't get things like an iced latte as a trenta
uwumoment 1 points 1y ago
ask for a bit of room and a stopper so you don’t spill
rosebudftw 1 points 1y ago
You could ask for a venti with room!
