I’m a green bean (joined the siren late october) but honestly with how understaffed our store is I already feel pretty competent on all positions. Our store is in a college town and right now with finals we have been slammed every single day. We are cafe only and our lobby is always full, not to mention our parking lot which is a nightmare in itself. Anyway — we were out of almost all food items today by noon. I was on POS and a woman came up and started ordering a pumpkin loaf, which we were out of. I kindly let her know and she already got upset. Then she asked if I could heat up a donut for her, and I said no because the glaze on it is a fire hazard. She got even worse — telling me she didn’t care if it started a fire because she /needed/ a warm pastry and we were out of all the other “good stuff.” She finally left just buying a coffee and then sat in the lobby with her friend pointing at us from her table and looking angry. I don’t get paid enough for this.
