what is the standard for ringing up a decaf frap? i always thought it was to ring it up as a coffee frap (which they want), decaf, and then a single shot. other baristas told me we’re supposed to just put decaf and not charge for the shot, but a couple shifts told me (awhile ago) to charge for a shot of espresso as well. this lady got upset today when i charged her for it so i’m wondering what’s the actual standard for ringing up a decaf frap?

Ring up the regular coffee-based version of the frap, then hit the decaf button, and that’s it. When making the drink you use 1/2/3 shots of decaf espresso instead of frap roast for T/G/V but there’s no charge for the shots.
You can find the standard in the beverage resource manual, which is on partner hub as well as the store resources app on the store iPad.

The standard is to just hit decaf after putting in the frap, and it’s 1/2/3 shots

Yes do not charge for the shot

I’ve never heard of charging for an extra shot that the customer never asked for.

To make decaf frap u cannot use the frap roast but the decaf shots.
jazzysoranio1 points1y ago
Yeah. But why would you charge the customer for an extra shot?

Because that person knows it’s a decaf shot but it’s an espresso shot and usually people charge for that. They did not know that they sub for the frap roast. If they put decaf and frap roast then I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️

Also, it's not in the recipe, but put a couple ice cubes in the cup first before you put the shots in. Cooling the shots before you put the rest of the ingredients in will keep it from being too liquidy and over expanding.
