Where can I find if I'm eligible for rehire? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by demigirlhailee
long story short, back in 2018 I ended up ghosting the store I was working for for about 6 months during a workers comp claim because I very quickly enlisted in the army and forgot to let my store know before I shipped out.

Now, I'm in a different state and working as a licensed store lead (so I'm like halfway between an SSV and ASM), but it's draining me. I walked into a situation where the upper management told me I was being hired to clean up a mess, but the acting lead (my current co-lead) disagreed and got extremely defensive when I told her that. There's been a lot of tension between me and her and her former acting co-lead (who was not hired for that role and was only doing what my co-lead told her to do), because they've felt like I came in took away their control. I'm just exhausted from all of this petty infighting on a team of 6 people (including us two leads).

So point is, I'm wanting to apply to an SSV position at a corporate store, but I have no idea if I'm eligible for rehire. any suggestions on how to find out?

If you ghosted them, more than likely your previous SM listed you as non-rehireable. However, try applying and speaking with your future SM/DM and maybe if you explain the situation they can override your current status to rehireable.
