I just am getting so burnt out on front/CS and DTO, like I want to actually make drinks from time to time I get to here and there and I’m moving to a new store, so I’m hoping that I’ll get to bar more there, but idk

Just keep asking your shift. Be ready to show up on bar. Focus and always sequence. But yeah, being a little annoying about it seems the only way to get on bar. Once you're on bar enough, then you'll be the "bar partner" and then you'll wish you were off bar because that's all you'll ever be.

oh man is that second half true…. im always on bar so much that whenever im on DTO or oven my coworkers are like “… you arent on bar???” and then some days when im moved to bar my shifts are just like “youre moving to front bar…. im sorry i know youre always on bar” 😭

Pound that sequencing in, that’s the key

This is basically the cycle for all baristas, usually at the beginning they heavily put green beans on drive thru and then experienced baristas on bar in the morning most of the time to get the times down

i feel you, i was designated drive thru monkey basically the entire time i was working there and probably had a sum total of 10 hours bar time for the entire 10 months i worked there. literally so draining and horrible, biggest reason why i quit
