It’s starbucks food. Not necessarily stolen

Kinda sus that this person came to work with about 20 of these bad boys.
nicathor 80 points 1y ago
Eh, we get people who order food and ask for it to stay in the plastic all the time and there's no limit on howany that can by other than what's thawed and ready to sell. And he'd have to take out a lot of people to get to the pastry cart and steal them.

I was thinking stolen more on the dumpster dive side of things?
nicathor 88 points 1y ago
If that's the case then I don't see a problem honestly, better than it all just going to waste ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
terriblescreenwriter 38 points 1y ago
We donate our expired food, we only toss things that have sat out or have been opened
boy_linda 36 points 1y ago
if your baristas are dumpster diving at your store then maybe that reflects they need better wages and hours, not punishment for eating perfectly good food you'd rather see in the trash. holy shit please evaluate
bryceofswadia 17 points 1y ago
If you are the type of person who thinks dumpster diving is “stealing”, you are awful and should get some respective.

They also could have been past their 2-day shelf life and given away
whittyd63 -27 points 1y ago
Definitely date of Nov on the package.
brianamals 28 points 1y ago
That only refers to the day they were produced. We receive them frozen and then thaw them out
tacticalcop 59 points 1y ago
probably none of your concern my man
Carsatan 23 points 1y ago
Stores donate or give away food after the 2 day window- my fridge has paninis and protein boxes in it that were past that window

We donate a lot of brownies since they really don't sell well
Imaginary_Chemist_09 17 points 1y ago
If the brownies are past their sale date they were probably given away in bulk. I doubt someone who works there stuffed 20 of those in their pocket and left.

Do you work at a hospice? (There’s a ‘home care hospice services logo visible in the background) We donate expiring food to organizations like food banks, DV shelters, hospice, etc. They were probably donated.

People dumpster dive for way more reasons than out of necessity. I don’t personally partake in these types of activities, but who are we to say?
