right there with you, i was a rehire in september. my pay was sooo fucked up i went without my first paycheck, and then my pay rate was wrong on the second one…. and for 3 more pay cycles!!! and then it was wrong after they fixed it for another 2 pay cycles!! never mind the fact that my partner was laid off around the same time so no pay was a huge surprise for both of us. aaaand it was totally my fault of course per my DM. i finally took a deep breath, took screenshots of our emails, texts, and my pay stubs then texted it to him and said that i work for what we agreed on and no less and will not be working any more until this is ALL fixed because it has been MONTHS and i will no longer be made to feel like i am to blame when i am the ONE person here who DOES NOT have the power to fix it and i am the ONLY person here that no-pay and reduced-pay impacts. make it right. i just got a “i’m proud of you for sticking to your guns.” like?? was this a test?? gtfo you just don’t know how to apologize.

it was a fucking hassle and you’re not alone. there are too many cooks in the corporate kitchen and somehow not enough employees and they are terrible at communicating with each other.
