Need some advice (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by SM0LandANGR3Y
So recently, I had to call out a few days out of the week because my entire family was really ill. I even went to work (which I absolutely detest going in sick) and I got sent home twice, once by my shift and another time by the SM.

Fast forward to two weeks later, literally all of my hours have been cut. I have 16 hours for my pay period for basically the entire month of December. I was also denied Christmas hours.

Nothing has been said to me by my SM but I’m suspecting she’s doing this to try to get me to quit. She recently did the same with a partner she doesn’t want to fire personally but is trying to phase her out.

I’ve also been informed by other close co-workers that the SM has been talking about me to other partners.

I guess I’m just asking for advice on what to do. I don’t know if PCC will be helpful at all and my DM is just as uncaring as apparently my SM is.

At this point I’ve decided to continue to show up out of spite lmao.

Any advice on this situation would help.

Absolutely document EVERYTHING. Include dates and names.

Yup, cutting hours as "punishment" is completely illegal. Talk to your dm or ethics and compliance. Document everything.
