How many of us are "senior" baristas? Curious, thought about making it a career since SBUX has great benefits.(self.starbucksbaristas)

Hi, curious if any of you are long timers with SBUX. I've thought about making it into a career with real-estate on the side.
Thanks for your input!

259 numbers. Hired in late 2018 :) given the turnover rate I'd call that senior

I'm pretty new still, about four months in lol, but my partner's been working with the Siren for going on nine years! Started back when she was 16, now she's working (crossing fingers) on becoming ASM for her current store at 25. Though I've heard of people having worked for ten, even twenty years, which STILL astounds me

I wanted to stay long term with starbucks because its a good part time job to pay with during school. That exactly was my plan because starbucks has been able to boost my resume by just simply staying.
My manger and two location mistreated me and compliance told me I was never trained due to the 4 weeks situation. Work is very important to me and I do not like being stripped from any time of work. I had a few co workers supporting this. Even if it is a starbucks I am still am professional to everyone. Its really fucked up. I am just open to better job offers at this point.

I got the bullshit treatment from my store that 30 years old shouldn't be doing this at this time of their lives. Me bullshit, I am barely getting off my feet. None of us want to 30 in a pandemic have to pick up minum wage jobs for sanity.

I started at a Barnes and Noble cafe 2009-2014, went to a cafe in Boston, was in Whole Foods leadership for 4 years, and came to Starbucks in 2020. The pandemic made me realize that I missed coffee and even though I would take an extremely drastic pay cut, I wanted to come back to actually work for starbucks. I honestly love it. I understand the hate everyone has for the job...but I remember where I came from and I'm so much happier here than being a Bezos minion.
