No secret, lack of ambition mostly. It was the one place I felt comfortable for who I am. I’m scared to change even though I’ve tried many times by doing different college courses but never used them. Now it’s just comfortable and it works with my life and my children’s schedules.

My condolences?

Lol . It’s fine, I’m settled in for a long crappy ride .

Fair enough. I'm at 8+, me and another are debating on if it's worth waiting & taking our unpaid 10yr sabbatical/ coffee break or just leaving bc of poor experiences. But also, it's just so *easy* and *mindless* and comfortable at this point, so 🤷
Would be nice if i could afford to live off it again but yenno.

My old coworker has worked for Starbucks as long as I’ve been alive. She was my hiring manager and when we were going over the Starbucks timeline she marked off 1996 and asked me if I knew what happened then. I said uhhh I was born then? And she told me that’s when she was hired lol

i love that she asked you like it’s a standard date marked in history books

The week i started my second store, they had a long time partner (i think 15+ years, 60+yo) retiring. I asked her how she did it for so long and i forget what her answer was 😭
