Aside from all of the other things that go on, and other reasons to unionize, this is what’s going on at my store.
Not too sure what to do. My store has at least 1 confirmed positive covid test, and that person was asked to come into work even though they had a fever. They then went home and got tested, next day they found out it was positive, and have been isolating since. About 7 other people are sick, some calling out, some coming in because my manager said a sore throat is something they can come to work with. We are also supposed to be doing the covid checker or covid coach, and I can’t remember the last time I have. I try to look for the thermometer and I can never find it, but the SSVs are always filling out the sheet and initialing on my behalf without my consent. I am pretty sure that is illegal. I’m supposed to work the next 4 days and I’m terrified to. This is too much and the holidays are very soon and i know a lot of people are going to be with their families, myself included.
For context, I live in a big city, with a mask and vaccine mandate for both staff and customers.
