a (tall) rant (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by ellsb3lls
so many people at my store are quitting 😵‍💫 i want to quit too. it’s just too much. i’m almost 5 months into this job and i’m just soooo tired. i’m tired of dealing with entitled customers and cleaning up after everyone’s mess. the vibes are off because of so many people quitting, and it’s getting toxic. i want to quit so bad but i don’t have another job lined up (there’s not many jobs out there rn) and i low-key feel guilty.

If you really feel that you can’t work the job anymore, quit on your own measures. you could try to find an online job if that better suits your liking. if it’s unbearable, don’t stay any longer than you have to.

I’m in a similar boat, I keep telling myself to just stick it out until I’ve been there for 6 months, to get that ~barista experience~ for my resume. I love my coworkers but my manager is making it an unbearable place to work. I’m scared to have to start over again at a whole new job but… this isn’t workin for me right now 💩

Having quit out of fed-up-ness before... my advice is definitely line up a job first before you quit! Unless you have a nest egg saved away already. Cuz when I quit and went a couple months without a job, I really racked up my credit cards, and it took FOREVER to get my finances back in order. But if you can financially manage it, go ahead and do what you gotta do!
