Calibrating the coffee machines(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Immediate_Engine_934
Our coffee machines suck and recently we’ve had a problem with our shots pouring super watery but for some reason nobody bothers to fix it (not even the manager) , can someone help (just so I can stop getting shouted at by customers 🥲)

Do you have the old machines or the new ones?

The M1s have the shot times listed when you press the plus and minus buttons at the same time. The first row of numbers should read anywhere from 18-23. Anything more or less requires you to turn the either to the left or right to change the coarseness. I’m not certain in this moment when direction does what 😅

Love how you didn’t bother explaining the M2 because they’re calibration doesn’t exist literally other than pull 5 doubles. Still not calibrated? Too bad

I’ve also never worked with the m2s. I wouldn’t know how to explain how to use them, if I’ve never used them…

There should be a black knob near the hopper that you can twist to change the grind finer or courser. If the shots are watery you need to twist it counterclockwise (I think, it's been a while since we had the old machines) to make the grind finer.

If the issue persist have your ssv put a ticket in for the machine
