Honestly, I just wanna say a big “fuck you” to shitty customers. (self.starbucksbaristas)

So, fuck you. Fuck your attitude and entitlement. I cannot handle it anymore. I am so fed up. I swear we’re really out here fighting for our damn lives. @Corporate, what hot mess did you create?

I have never seen such shitty customers, they are getting worse and it’s just always something new. They fight us for the dumbest and most ridiculous things. I’m still here for the partners and the flexibility I have but like damn. Can you fucking chill out, it’s just some coffee and sugar-filled drinks??? Please, I am overworked and trying to do me best.

Anyways, I don’t need to hear anything negative or adjacent to it. I just wanted to vent for a second ty.

For me, it’s the regulars that act like this. I just started recently and they all just expect me to know their order and if I don’t, they just ask someone else to ring up their order. I’ll read it back to them and if I seem like I’m hesitant, they’ll get annoyed and act like I don’t know what I’m doing. It’s kind of annoying because I never had to deal with this sort of entitlement when I worked at a fast food grill. By far, the moodiest customers.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing that. As an SSV I especially speak up (passive aggressively) saying that they are still learning and to please be patient, while I help them. I’ve been here for 5 years but other retail jobs never had this high level of entitlement, it’s ridiculous.

Our county and many others in California recently reinstated mask mandates. One of corporate's actual suggested "solutions" to someone refusing to wear one and refusing to wait outside is that we make their drink before making drinks for the customers ahead of them. FAT CHANCE that I'm letting them skip the line, are you kidding me?!

i thought Lowes customers were the most entitled and rude until i quit there and started at Starbucks…… boy oh boy was i wrong about that. Starbucks caters to them. Thats a majority of their customer base. “We can give you what you want AND give you a pass to treat our employees like dirt!” It truly sucks out here :/

Literally had a woman yell at me today because "I was taking too long to make her drink" When in reality i was finished with it a while ago, called her twice and left it on the counter with the sticker front facing and not covered by the sleeve. All of that, only for her to not pay attention or look at the ONLY drink on the handoff counter. Then she said it wasn't hot enough.

I can empathize; fellow retail worker here (grocery clerk at a deep discounted chain-store). Despite shopping at a place that provides mostly the bare essentials, some customers are really entitled: demanding for rain-checks, to check the backroom, always claiming why isn't there a specific product ***when*** ***they arrive***. like chill the eff down, you shop at a place for lowest of the low income groups, beggars can't be choosers.
