I'm sorry this is your experience. Here at my store, me and my fellow shift supervisors step in immediately when customers start acting impolite with any of them. It leads to more people leaving our store upset, but we don't tolerate abuse at my store, I hope you can find a store where leadership cares about baristas and will stand up for them.

I'm honestly terrified of having a hot drink thrown at me by a customer. No one deserves that and those customers should be banned from all locations. That shit is just ridiculous and criminal

I actually had my DM and SM try to “coach” me because I didn’t let a customer verbally abuse me (SSV) or my baristas. I was like we have history with this customer. Here’s the proof. Called ethics and compliance. Now DM is like well never ever did an incident report before you, how would we know? So that means what?!? Because I did my job correctly, I’m to blame?!? She got real quiet, it’s an ongoing investigation.

I hate that is the way it is. I am happy canadian customer's have sense not to throw drinks. If you need to throw a drink to someone like that especially hot as punishment. Don't come near me it tells me everything.
