mine is juggling like 3 stores rn. i feel bad for them but i also can't help but resent it a little when they have to go to the other stores instead of prioritizing mine lol. maybe the managers need a union too 🤔

They do! If you’ve got a good one, they put in way more than 40 hr/wk and don’t get overtime. It can be insanely stressful.

It’s happening more and more often. Starbucks will make any kind of shortcut and stretch it’s staff and their experience to make a Frankenstein’s monster of a leadership team. It puts stress on the managers and gives them very little days off. That stress will trickle down to the store shift leaders then the team. It’s a domino effect and not a pretty one. It’s unfair to all the parties (except the higher ups such as the dms). It’s shady on the corporation’s part. The best way to meet the short staffing issues is to shut down the stores that don’t do as much business and focus on the stores that do the most. Stop opening stores and spreading your staff thin as invisible butter.
Speaking from having this particular experience 2-3 times in separate stores.

my store’s being run by a guy juggling two stores as well, but my store is an afterthought as he only shows up on Mondays, and some people (like me) take that day off so there’s No communication. it’s wild
