I had a shift like that and I confronted him on the floor. Things got escalated to SM and she had a talk with that shift. Things got better after that.
The point is never back down and always confront your bully.
The cherry on top is I beat his ass at the store level barista championship (I was a 3 months partner and he was a 3 year partner) and I don’t think he ever recover from that. He transferred to another store shortly after.
