So today was like any other except we have a tornado warning in my area and extremely heavy and fast wind. During the morning peak the winds were so hard and fast that our power went out 5 times. after every time it would coome back on it would go out for a second a couple minutes later. this went on for about an hour. Then finally the winds subside but guess what! due to the multiple power outages out pos system completely took a dump. The stickers for drive thru and cafe and mobile weren't printing, so customers coming in to get mobiles were pissed, cause well the sticker never printed. The registers shut down and only the cafe one would stay on. We decided to shut down drive thru as the stickers weren't printing and we couldn't check them out with card or the app. Our drive thru was full to the brim and even before this all happaned the line was backed into the main street. We had a full staff, but the Christmas peaks especially for Florida have been hellacious. So with almost everything not working properly peak was a major disruptive disaster. The pos system ended up being broken beyond what the service guys could do that my shift called. my Shift was on the phone with them for an hour, doing everything they said, but the system still wouldn't run how it was supposed to. Finally they told my shift they need to do further research and ended it with that. So, with all this exposition, WHY DOES OUR DM STILL KEEP THE STORE OPEN. We asked them multiple times, we can't run things the systems not working, customers are pissed anyways. The DM tells us, well just try your best! THE BEST ISNT GOOD ENOUGH CAUSE EVERYTHING IS DOWN. And the DM still tells us to keep the store open, and that we just need to try our best. I guess I understand why, but we barely are running well enough for the store to operate. It feels demoralizing when we are doing our best by scrambling to write the orders on cups and calling everyone avaible to help,, yet we just end up being told to still, "do our best".The only reason things started running smooth was because customers stopped arriving, and only two would come in the cafe at a time cause of all the tech issues. Rough day :/
