It will go into a folder, but if your store has repeated incidents with an abusive customer, you can build up a case to ban them permanently. My store did that last year, I think the process took a ridiculously long time but at least there is a process.

either/or! in my case(s) (which are…countless), they go in a folder and are never talked about again.
