Management will really make or break your experience with the bux. Sorry you had a bad one.

It was going great before but then the current manager left and a new one came in.

Try to leave on good terms at least so that you can give the company another chance after high school. It’s a great job to have in college and maybe you could go to a different location. Avoid licensed stores. Just tell them you need to quit because your grades have been slipping and you need more time to work on school.

Oh I did. I put in my two weeks and followed through and was decent The whole time

320 here as well. Thought if I made it 6 months I would be fine. I might quit on the spot tomorrow depending on our SMs attitude

Let me know what yo do!

Ended up deciding to stay. My coworkers are too great and idk if I could get a software dev job in the ~3 months of savings I have like I was planning

i’ve been seeing a lot of 320’s quit recently….. i’d join them but currently sbux is the highest starting rate in my area and i need the money🥲

I understand that. Just remeber, it’s not worth it to be struggling mentally and be dehumanized over coffee. Take care of yourself

Honestly, might just permanently clock out for the same reason. New manager said we can’t switch shifts anymore, MIA frequently, and constantly criticizes partners 1-on-1 to the point some ppl leave crying. How did you approach sending in your resignation? Did you mentioned your opinion on management?
Administrative_Gas26 [OP]2 points1y ago
I figured it wasn’t worth the hassle to mention management. I just typed out my 2 week, printed it, bf signed it. Then I went in on my next shift and handed it to my asm (go down in rank. Manager is preferable to turn it into. Then asm. And if needed shift.) Best fo luck!

I’ma highschool student and the next closest one is across town and between school and the extracurriculars it wasn’t worth just 12 an hour. Plus I wasn’t treated fairly
