What's your favorite shift?(self.starbucksbaristas)

Former barista here. 220xxxx. I loved my time at Starbucks and arguably worked during the height of it's popularity. I've done it all. I've tasted it all. Eaten it all. I used to work in a busy district, my store was flagship-material, and in an urban, city environment. Peaks and morning rush were at 150 customers per half hour, 3 full registers, and 15-man peak. Yes, it was that serious. Sales totaled over $12,000 on average.
What shifts did you enjoy the most? Hoping to reminisce about my time as a partner barista.

I’ve been learning to enjoy my morning shifts a little more. Waking up extremely early has been hard for me but I’m enjoying it because the shift goes by fast and it’s actually pretty chill even when we’re super busy. Gonna be doing all closing for the next month and a half but I look forward to going back to morning only

I just started like two months ago (part-time), and I’ve been doing at least 2 opening shifts a week the past month. I have to say the 4:30am-8:30am shifts are my favorite because I get my work done and have the whole day left to do whatever. Also, like 1/3rd of the shift is just stocking and prepping, which is nice because I’m always put on window during peak times in other shifts. I enjoy my quiet times with my other partners and our few early morning usuals!

In terms of my personal enjoyment, my favourite was closers. I was a primary closer for two years at a cafe-only store and it was fantastic. Got to know so many people from all over since I was in a big city as well - tons of tourists and businessfolk passing through.
But in terms of "i wanna live my life and also have money," opens. Sure, it meant waking up at 4-5am, but I was done around 2pm at the latest and could do other things besides just going to the bar lmfao

Former barista here. 246Xxx. I worked in a store just like yours, busiest in the district and the whole nine yard. My fav shift was 7a-1p.
