should I call out? I can’t find anyone please help!! (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey guys so the holidays are coming and I want to see my sisters this Christmas. I don’t work on Christmas but have a shift the next day. After ñ that I have a week off. The thing is my parents are coming this Friday to pick me up since I live far from home. I don’t know I’m what to decide either leave to see my family or just wait. I have never called out before and I’m scared of what my supervisor might think. This was very unplanned so it was a last minute decision. Any advice could help

If it’s Sunday, the day after Christmas, that you’re calling out for, let your SM know the situation ASAP because they could still find someone from other stores to come help or anything like that. You’ll be fine, especially if it’s your first call out:)

take the day off and see your family—you never know when you’ll see them for the last time. just let your SM know ASAP and start trying to find coverage. that being said if you do have to call out, don’t wait until an hour before. call as early as possible so the shift isn’t blindsided lol
