Pay Roll Question (self.starbucksbaristas)

So what is “Overtime-W01” vs “Overtime-W02”?

I have 4 sections for overtime on my pay statement. The sections are as followed:

Overtime-W01
Overtime-W02
Overtime-W01
Dbl Time

Why would all three of the sections labeled “overtime” have a different hourly rate? It’s negligible, but ranges between $0.28-$0.07. I’m not pressed about it at all either. I am however genuinely confused why it wouldn’t just be a standard across the board rate of “time and a half pay rate”.

Also why is a meal break premium more than your standard rate for the extra hour of pay when you miss clocking out on time for lunch. (California only I believe)

I’m pretty sure W01 means Week 1 and W02 means Week 2. If you go over 40 hours within the first week of your pay period, you would see earnings at 1.5x your hourly rate under Overtime-W01. If it happened in the second week of your pay period, you would see earnings at 1.5x your hourly rate under Overtime-W02. And then Dbl Time would be double time pay that you somehow earned, for example, by working over 12 hours in a day in California or possibly by working overtime on a day with holiday pay (not sure if Starbucks changes our pay to double time for that or not).

So those small amounts you’re seeing are probably your total overtime wages from each week. If there’s another number in the same row, it’s probably the number of hours of overtime you worked. If you worked less than an hour of overtime, like just a few minutes, that would explain why your amounts are so low.
