PLEASE STOP COMING INTO WORK SICK (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by coolsexysmartvirgo
ive seen ppl on here talk about how their managers told them they still had to come in since the are vaccinated, but it is ultimately your decision to advocate for the health and well being of everyone working during your scheduled shifts.
Please, just don’t come in. I get some people can’t afford to come to work, me being one of them... but I am scared to come to work knowing my partners aren’t strictly following the covid coach.
new covid strain is cold like , please watch out and self monitor on the clock and off

on a semi related note: three out of 5 partners I worked with the other day tested positive and I took a pcr and was told to come in even though I was still waiting on results. developed symptoms after my shift and the store had to close for the second time in a week. managers need to stop forcing staff to come into stores when they're close contacts and/or waiting on test results

Literally why are we risking people lives for a 15/an hour job.... like no

i would call in sick, say it’s a migraine and not covid related, then when you get results back, if they’re positive say it was a rapid test. if negative don’t mention the test. i know this isn’t the best but it’s legally protected sick time still and this way you don’t potentially spread to coworkers

One of my coworkers has been sick for three days now. Today she came in for a few hours, and you know what happened? She threw up. Because she was sick. Our manager didn't believe that she was actually as sick as she claimed and made her come in, despite said coworker knowing the manager for a good while and being the type to never call out sick unless she was really sick.
