it doesn’t sound like she’s asking you to work unless i’m misreading. i think what she said first was that if you’re asymptomatic and vaxxed you’re able to work- i can look on the CDC website for you to verify. but if you’re positive and symptomatic regardless of vax status you can not work but there are some forms you have to fill out legally and per policy. if you’re symptomatic you must isolate for 10 days.

From this exchange it looks like as soon as she saw you had symptoms they didn’t want you to come in.

Holiday season, probably very busy, wants to do it by CDC guidelines, backed off after you said you had symptoms and just told you what needs to be filed to get everything squared away. Seems reasonable enough to me.

Per $1 if you’re vax’d AND you are asymptomatic, you don’t need to quarantine. Sounded like your SM was asking your vax status to determine if you need to isolate or not.

I’m not totally familiar with the siren’s specific SOP, but their text messages are consistent with the CDC guidelines linked above.

You mentioned you have symptoms, I’m sorry and wish you a speedy and full recovery.

Same thing mine said, didn’t have symptoms but since I was vaccinated and felt fine i could still work. Got a test anyways that was negative

update: i wasn’t aware of those cdc guidelines and it sounded like she just wanted me to come in even after a long covid exposure from multiple different people at the family dinner party but thank you guys for educating me:) i’m fully vaxxed but i just recently got my booster so it’s not fully effective yet, i’m also immunocompromised and this is my first time with covid:p its the new variant and with the speed of how fast it’s been spreading i wasn’t sure if her texts were completely wrong with cdc. i definitely misinterpreted some of it, i just felt like it was kind of a scary response since my last job made us turn in two negative covid tests before we could come back in. i thought starbucks would take it more seriously especially how close we work together and i’m not sure if all of my coworkers were vaxxed. i wasn’t aware that the new omicron variant had different guidelines than the other ones since it’s spreading even faster

my entire family has covid and i do not yet but i am still living in a house w them and my manager still wanted me to come in. I ended up telling her i had covid even though i have not had a positive test yet bc it’s very likely that i do/will have it.
