They close for a whole month… by that logic we should get time and a half the whole time the federal government is in recess? And for the government to declare a month long national holiday surrounding Christmas… make winter solstice celebrations a national holiday, not another one for Christmas.

I had an hour left of my shift yesterday when I found out I wasn’t getting time a half and I almost cried. Got insane tips yesterday too and now I’m scared we don’t get to keep our tips for the day either. The thing that frustrates me the most about it is I was shorted almost half my hours this week and thought I’d make up for it a bit on Christmas Eve.

I’ve never had a single job pay time and a half for Christmas Eve. Even when I worked a job that was technically for a bank. We were open and paid normal pay.

My store manager was super quick to inform my team that they weren't. Their only perk was splitting tips that day between those who worked that day.

we weren’t supposed to split tips daily that day either. a bunch of us mass texted our manager till she gave in and split our tips for the day vs the whole week

My SM expressly promised us all time and a half on X-mas eve in order to get us to sign up for it, we have txts from him asking people to come in that day to cover shifts and that they would get time and a half. The middle of the day he comes in and tells us we aren't getting it now.
