My health is tanking at this job (self.starbucksbaristas)

I've been at Starbucks for two years and my mental health and physical health are just spiraling. I hate it here so much. My depression is coming back full force and every shift I sit in my car and have to fight back crying cuz I don't wanna be there. Can't quit because I need the insurance for my medications and I also live in a rural area so it's hard to find jobs anyway but oh my god. I dream of the day I get to put in my two weeks notice.

Just change your perspective maybe, like not caring about every small detail or taking things too seriously from work, is it worth the stress¿ I had a similar issue but once i started not give a fuck, it became a bit different and better. I hope you feel better with time

Same. I am shift supervisor and I have anxiety but I have never experienced situational depression, until recently. I have felt very dark at times. I say do what you can to get by, and then side hustle for your dream career. It’s hard, but I paint murals on the side and I make decent money, and I’m gaining business experience wanting to be an entrepreneur one day. You’ll get there.

I hope ur coworkers aren’t the problem. If it’s just customers then brush them off. They don’t live in my mind rent free after work. Like I’ll talk bout them but that’s bout it. Just to vent a little
