Are we allowed to wear any form of gloves while on DTR? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Odd_Entertainment134
I’ve been out on window a hell of a lot recently and I’m starting experience a fun little phenomenon where my hands get so cold that my fingers move slower, even with the heaters on and touching hot cups all day. I would absolutely love to wear some kind of glove that’s semi suited to having to pick things up and count cash and all that if we’re allowed to.

If we are, does anyone have any glove recommendations?

They have touch screen gloves on coffee gear so I always assumed they were for this exact situation

Damn, those are probably the only ones we can use right? They’re out of stock.

I would think if you found black ones no one would even notice I say do it until someone tells you no and then if they tell you no ask where it says it’s not allowed

That’s probably the plan. Just gotta find some that are actually touchscreen friendly (specifically our god awful register screen friendly). Thanks!

My manager purchased us gloves and Starbucks branded coats for on drive. It gets to minus 40 some days and it's a necessity here

If you can, keep a cup of hot water by to warm your hands in between customers. I had the same thing happen a week ago, until a more seasoned partner gave me this tip! Then again, I’m in Cali, so it was probably only like 40°F out with some wind 😅

40°F is equivalent to 4°C, which is 277K.

fingerless gloves really help, but you could also bring some hot hands

I’m pretty sure we can, look us the look book for starbucks

Maybe I’m blind but I couldn’t find anything on gloves specifically in there

in missouri every store i worked at allowed gloves so i assumed it was company wide. people even wore skeleton finger gloves, didn’t have to be on brand.

not sure about texas bc i just moved here and we’re having a toasty fall and winter season
