Things are getting really bad… (self.starbucksbaristas)

So our store now closes at 1pm when we used to close at 8pm. We are so severely understaffed it’s not even funny. I just got back from LOA and I was scheduled 1-3:30pm and as I walked in everyone was telling me that we now close at 1. Like how?! We had dishes piled up in the sinks and all over the floor in our back room. I think this was my last straw.

I just started at a new store and am already done. We were closing at 6 when I started but now we’re closing at 3. We’ve had to close at 2 and close the cafe around noon because we’re so short staffed. I’ve worked in fast food since I was 15 and have never been at a place so short staffed. I’m fed up with it. They think it’s ok to have 2 people working the whole store. We don’t have a chance to prep anything and hav to do the pull after we close. Our dishes are the same way because we can’t do them until we close either. It looks like we didn’t even do anything when we leave because we already stay an hour and a half over just to do the bare minimum.
