Same here. It’s stressing me out to the point that i’ve put my entire outside life on hold because I really don’t want my best friends catching it if I happen to get it from my coworkers. My manager is also not telling us directly if we were exposed, if we are vaccinated. I just want us to close so i don’t have to be scared to death that I’ll get it that day. It’s irresponsible to keep us open and have vaccinated partners burn themselves down to protect a corporate store.

I’m in the same boat. The new hours and lack of help stressed me out so much, I came down with something. I’m getting tested tomorrow and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s also Covid.

I understand completely how you feel. I’m in the same boat. My SM would rather have all of us work even if we worked with the partners who got Covid. I have been a shift supervisor for 3 years and for the first time working there I had an actual panic attack due to lack of partners and the only ones I had closing were all newbies that have been there for under 1-2 months! This is totally bs

I feel your stress. There should be rewards for all of us who are left to try to keep things running. I am Fully vaxxed and boosted so I am being bounced around to various covid stores to help with staffing. Feels like playing Russian roulette with my health some days. :( Problem is I am not fast enough to solo bar because I am fairly new. Be easy on the newbies because speaking for myself it is even more added frustration to want to be more helpful than warming DT and POS but not having the knowledge yet to be fully functional.
For all of us working in the current conditions, remember to just take one step at a time. It is stressful, it is frustrating, and it is terrible to have to deal with customers who are not understanding of our struggle and who demand endless drink remakes because they clearly have covid and have lost their sense of smell and taste. We can get through this if we stick together.
Be gentle with each other and with yourselves. Take little breaks just to breathe. Don't let partners skip their breaks no matter how busy it is. Breaks are important.
We are like front line soldiers being sent into battle . To all my battle buddies out there you are not alone. You are loved and appreciated by your fellow workers even if it does not always feel like higher ups are appreciative.

we have only one confirmed case at our store but a good handful of others are sick… one of them being our manager who kept us open on christmas and chose to go on vacation then, of course… and of course i can’t even get an appointment to get tested for another WEEK! “as long as you’re vaxxed you should be fine to come in” my ASS. i’m so uncomfortable going to work, and i have two jobs so that’s twice as many people i come into contact with 🤩
